Readiness to grow past one’s blocks eludes so many. Being ready is what will draw toward you teachers and opportunities to help you grow and move past the negative pattern behaviours. Readiness requires that you be teachable and open to suggestion and to newness.

Today’s topic is an important one, one I encounter daily in my office. It’s called, “The Teacher Appears When The Student Is Ready.” Essentially, I am keenly aware that no one is going to move past their blocks, their repetitive, negative patterns, unless they are 100% ready to do so, and that is always their choice. It’s your choice if you’re going to move forward! And being ready requires being teachable. You know you’re in a teachable state when you are not arrogant (as in, “I know everything”). You know you’re in a teachable state you are open, vulnerable, interested in hearing what someone else might have to offer you. Essentially, teachability is achieved when the hard exterior is dropped, and that requires trust, a sense of adventure, and that you be open to new possibilities, not repeating in  your mind, “This is all I’m worth; this is all it’s ever going to be.” Affirming something else, affirming, “I am open. I am ready for newness. I am worth healing. I am worthy and valuable to move beyond this stuckness, these blocks.”

Choose to be open. The choice is very important, to actively look within and say, “I’m going to make a choice to be teachable. I’m going to make a choice to be ready to grow beyond where I’m at right now.” And watch as you manifest and attract towards yourself teachers and opportunities for shifting out of where you are. Essentially, the teachers will only appear when you’re ready. And you’re only going to be ready when you declare openly that you are teachable, that you are not arrogant, that you are not encrusted with a protective coating of arrogance. This is the key piece of beginning your road to change, OK? I encourage an affirmation that will get you to a teachability state, and therefore a readiness state for change and shift, to bring towards you teachers and opportunities for growth and change.

The affirmation is: “I, ___,” and then you put your name, a child nickname is good. My name is Victoria, and as a kid I was called Vicky, so I would say, “I, Vicky, am open and ready for change. I drop all arrogance.” Try that repetitively. Remember, be teachable, be open, and you will manifest wonderful teachers and opportunities in your life to move you through and past where you are right now.
