Dear Victoria,
I recently met someone who is becoming a very important part of my life. I’ve never had such a strong connection with anyone before. I know I’m not in love but I do care about him a lot. I’m scared because I’ve never experienced this before. It’s been only two months and our levels of awareness for each other is… some what alarming. Whenever I’m upset, he always seems to sense it and he’ll call or text me asking me what’s wrong before he says hello. Other strange things happen between us, but the craziest one for me is that I had a dream about him two weeks before I even knew he existed. I’ve heard many different things about soulmates, and I feel like he is my soulmate. I wanted to ask you about what you know about soulmates. Maybe you can help me understand what’s going on.
Star
Dear Star,
My belief is that there is not just one soul mate for each human being. Instead I believe we have many soul mates. We tend to energetically be in synchronicity with those we meet that are here to teach us something important about our life path, our life purpose or our life journey. These I feel are our soul mates. They travel with us for many life times, our present life time or for just a temporary period of time. They may have been with us in a past life and thus the synchronicity may be a sign of recognition of something of someone familiar.
In Journey of Souls (book by Michael Newton) it talks about the life between life in which we contract and agree to various situations and challenges that we will experience in this life in order to grow and evolve. We even agree to contract with the people that will be in those events with us, prior to incarnating onto the planet again. They may be our friend that we feel so in tune with that we can literally read their mind! Or a love connection that shows us how to truly open our heart and be vulnerable. This person is not necessarily a love interest that you are “meant” to be with forever. Instead they may be someone impactful that shares a period of your life with you for a specific learning. How long and how intense depends on the situation you both find yourselves in. Also consider that a soul mate may also be someone you have had repetitive difficulty with and they just won’t leave your life because of the connection circumstance you are both in (like a family member). You will be learning and growing with this person as well. I consider them a soul mate of sorts also. You contracted with this person to be family with them and learn with each other some key lessons (positively or negatively). The soul connection and synchronicity is very strong with these people. It is unmistakable.
This person that you are describing sounds like quite a soul mate-ish connection due to the synchronicity you speak of. Time will tell. But whatever role this person takes on in your life, you will recognize them to be a “soul” connection soon in the game as you cannot mistake the feeling of synchronicity and its uncanny magical feeling.
